Yes. In the Southern California desert, the majority of homes are located in gated communities or private neighborhoods. Because of this, they usually can’t be accessed without a licensed real estate agent.

Limited open houses: Unlike some markets where open houses are common, here most homes are shown by private appointment only.
Agent access required: Realtors use secure lockbox systems and have gate codes to access these communities, ensuring both security and privacy for homeowners.
